Page numbers remain at 0 and is continuously repaginating when scrolling

I have a few documents that were made in Word 2000 and
very well in this version. However, if a user with Word
2002 opens the document the following is observed:

1. Page number in the status bar is zero for any page that
you go to.
2. As you scroll, the status bar shows that word is
repaginating.
3. I have enabled track changes in word 2000 and I can see
the changes in this version, but if the Word 2002 user
opens it, he just sees a document without any of the
highlighted changes.

Can anyone help out
