Page numbers

My document is too big to file onto one floppy and so I
think I shall have to split it into 2 documents.
What will happen to the page numbers at the bottom of
each page after splitting the document into 2 documents?

You don't need to split it to put it on two floppies. Use Winzip to compress
it and span the discs. Note you must never open and save Word documents
direct from floppy. Copy to and from the hard drive and open/save there.
Saving to floppy is a major source of document corruption.
