To get rid of the page numbers, delete them.
The page numbers are part of the headers or footers in the document.
To do what you want, look up "Headers" in the Word help.
Watch the first video, " Create headers and footers for documents" then open
the " Add or delete a header or footer" topic.
You can place page numbers in the Body Text of the document also: but if you
do, you cannot control them, they run the entire length of the document. So
I recommend that you ALWAYS put them in the headers or footers.
Cheers
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
I inserted page numbers in a document, and now I want them out of it. How do I
get rid of page numbers? And, is there a way to put numbers on the first half
of the pages, say, and not have numbers on the second half?
