page numbers

When ever I try to print my word document, the page numbers that I have inserted show up at {page}, instead of the actual number. Any suggestions?

I presume you are using Word?

If so, what you are seeing are the field codes for the page numbers.
If they only display upon print/preview then go to Tools/Options/Print
and turn off "Field Codes".

If they display both on the screen and print/preview then press Alt +
F9 to toggle off the display of field codes.
