Page numbers

Is there any (easy) way to delete specific page numbers in a Word 2010
document? I prepare newsletters for our church, then convert to *pdf and
mail them to the church for printing and mailing. I have it set up so there
is no page number on the first page. However, the last page is the postal
page and sometimes I need a blank page prior to the postal page since the
final page needs to end on an even number. If possible, I would like to
delete the page numbers on those last two pages. Can this be done? (By
"postal page," I mean the page that has been set up to print our non-profit
permit number for mailing; it is folded on the outside of the newsletter.)

Thanks,
MaryL

Try inserting an Even Page section break at the end of the page prior to the
postal page (Page Layout tab | Breaks | Even Page).

To keep header/footer content separate, click to deselect the "Link to
Previous" option on the Header & Footer Tools tab.

Thanks for the help. I am using Office 2010, and I did not find the "Link
to Previous" option that you referenced. However, using your information, I
went to Page Layout | Footer | and selected Remove Footer. That seems to
have deleted the page number on the pages at the end of the document, just
as I wanted. Thanks!

The Header & Footer Tools tab is contextual; you'll see it on the ribbon
after you double-click the header to activate the header/footer view.

Anyway, I'm glad you found a solution that works for you.
