page numeration

What is the deal with numbering pages? Why is it so
freaking hard for WORD to understand that numbers are
continuous? I hate Bill Gates and having to use this
crappy product at work is always aggrevating.

That said, I have a section break and the next section is
in layout view, then the next page(section break) reverts
back to profile view. Is there a simple way to get WORD
to number all the pages from 1 to n (where n is the last
page) in the footer?

That is all I need to know today.

Make sure you don't have numbering set to "Start at 1" in any section.
