Page of Pages printing error on Word 2000

We have entered Page X of Y on the footer of a document with 16 pages. On the
screen (and in print preview) it appears correctly as Page 1 of 16, Page 2 of
16, etc... However when we print the document, the pages are numbered Page 1
of 1, Page 2 or 2, etc... Any suggestions?
