I have a problem in Word 2000; I have created a footer
within a document containing <Page Number> of <Total
Number of Pages>. I have tried each of the 3 methods
suggested in the following kb article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;191029
The document does not contain sections, indexes or any
other special formatting - it is simply a 6-page document
of text.
The document print previews perfectly, with the footer
returning "Page 1 of 6" and "Page 2 of 6" etc. However,
when I print the document, the output is incorrect and
returns "Page 1 of 1", "Page 2 of 2" and so on. Word is
exhibiting this behaviour with a number of other documents
too.
Does anyone have any clue as to why Word is behaving this
way?
Many thanks
