Page setup being changed

I have an application that includes the option
to print #6 and #10 envelopes. The envelopes
are, of course, defined by Access Reports.
And, as such, have the page setup properties
defined accordingly. On the developer's machine
(read mine), the envelopes preview and print
perfectly. Yet when a user on a different
machine attempts to use the function, the report
page setup is somehow changed. That is, it always
appears as "Letter size" in the page property.

Both machines involved are Windows XP SP2 and
Office 2000 environments.

The database is a split configuration. On the
developer's machine, both the mdb and mde
front-ends work perfectly. It is, of course the
mde front-end that the end user is running.

I cannot find anything inside the sphere of Access
reports that might account for what the user is
experiencing.

Any thoughts about what might be causing the
page setup properties to become changed?

If you are using Access 2000 this is a known bug and is documented in
the Microsoft Knowledgebase article:
Q245021 'List of Fixed Problems in Microsoft Office 2000 Service
Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a)'
And specifically:
Q240826 'Lost Printer Settings when Name Autocorrect is turned on'

Turn off the Name AutoCorrect feature as a temporary 'fix'.
Then download and install the Service Release 1/1a.

You should be at at least Office 2000 sp1a.
There is a known bug that reflects page setups reverting to printer default.
Office SPs fix this problem.

A work around is to turn off all name auto correct options under tools
options. But get the latest Office 2000 SPs is the best fix.

Another possibility is that the "other" user has different printer names /
drivers. This can cause access reports to get confused and revert to default.

I'll turn off the "Name Auto Correct" on the user's machine
at first opportunity just to see if there's a possiblility that all
isn't what it seems. Also, I'll check the level of the dirvers and
sync the printer names to see if that makes a difference.

As I posted to TerryC, both mine and the user's machines
are O2K-SP3. And, I will turn off the "Name Auto Correct"
just to confirm that the SPx fix is in fact applied.

The plot thickens!!!

I installed the mdb source plus the backend database
on another computer that is connected to my household
network. That computer uses the shared printer on my
machine, so there ought not be any "name" confussions.
Also on that 2nd computer, I deleted and re-installed
the printer so as to insure that the drivers were in sync.
Having full read/write access to both the source mdb
as the frontend and the backend database, the report
continues to preview as "letter". I disabled the "Name
AutoCorrect", but the report continues to preview as
letter.

The printer property sheet indicates that the #10
envelope is an enabled feature of the printer, as
viewed from both machines on the network.

As posted yesterday, the systems are Windows XP
Home with O2K-SP3. All updates applied.

Any additional ideas as to what might be causing
the "letter defaulting" on the other machines. (I've not
been able to access the clients machine to investigate
whether disabling the "Name AutoCorrect" would
solve my problem there.)
