page setup error message

Word 2000 on a Win 98SE PC with 1ghz processor

Every time i use the page setup command from the file menu
my software pops up the message " insufficient memory or
disk space Word cannot display the requested font"

My pc has at least 30gb of spare disk space and I have
512mb of ram. No other applications are running when i get
this message and the document can even have no text in
place yet the same message appears

This could indicate a problem with the printer driver or having an
inappropriate printer selected.
