page setup locks up word 2000

I select Page Setup from the file menu and it locks up
Word 2000. Most times I have to reboot. I've installed the
latest and greatest updates, but that didn't help.

Any problem with the Page Setup, Paragraph, Font, Tabs, Symbol, Style, or
Print dialog can point to a damaged printer driver. Try deleting and
reinstalling the printer (you might take this opportunity to search the
manufacturer's Web site for an updated driver).

I've removed and reinstalled the printer driver. I've
removed and reinstalled MS Office 2000. Still get the same
problems. Page setup works in Excel though.
