page setup

hi.. in an excel file with many worksheets, how can i copy all the page
set up like margins, header/footer, orientation, scaling etc to all the
other worksheets..?? thanks for your help..

Very simple answer: You need to copy the settings property by
property.

Alternative: copy the entire sheet - page setup settings go along
for the ride.

OTOH, accessing the PageSetup object property by property can be
glacially slow, so you might want to take a look at

Hold the <Ctrl> key down and select all worksheets. Then,
with all tabs "whited out" indicating that they are
selected, go to <File> <Page setup>. Make your changes.
That will make the change on all selected tabs.

Selct first sheet then SHIFT + select last sheet(or right-click and "Group
sheets" to Group them.

Do your page setup on first sheet. Will be done to all.

NOTE: there are a few features that cannot be setup in Group Mode.....print
area and "rows/columns to repeat" come to mind.

DO NOT FORGET to "ungroup sheets" when done. What is done to one affects all
sheets.

gord, jay - thanks.. it worked, but it works only when you do the page
setup via the File => Page Setup.. if you try to do it via the print
preview (as i normally do), it doesnt work..

ron - sorry when you copy the entire sheet, the page setup properties
do not carry on to the next sheet..
