Page shows code instead of hyperlink

When I type and enter or copy a hyperlink, the page view
by default shows the html code, and not the blue
underlined format. For instance, www.microsoft.com is
shown as {HYPERLINK "http://www.microsoft.com"}. I have
to manually right click and "select hyperlink" to see it
in the blue underline, which is a pain for copying
hyperlinked text from webpages, etc. Print or web preview
shows it as the blue underline, but none of the typeable
layout views do. Is there a way to change the autoformat
so that the default is not to see the code but the blue
underline?

Hi, Seth,

Go to Tools > Options > View and uncheck "Field codes" (or, to do the same
thing quicker, press Alt+F9).
