Hi

I have a monthly events calendar on an A4 page which i can put on my
web site fine [text & graphics]. However, when someone goes on-line
and tries to print it, it requires 6 or 7 pages rather than printing
on just 1 page.

What do i need to do to my cal before i up-load it so that it will
print on 1 page.

I would leave it showing on your web page but make it a downloadable pdf
file.

Thanks Don
But I know most of my contacts don't know/have/use pdf, i've tried to
send them .pdf before and they couldn't open it

I was thinking about a jpeg or gif so as they could just print it

Whenever you offer a pdf file it would be helpful if you stated it takes the
FREE Adobe Reader to display it. Also, you could provide reference to the
download site and/or include the Adobe icon link. pdf is the accepted means
to share documents... Everybody has the means to get it. It's a must have
and readily available.

There is a burden on the provider of the pdf file -- S/he needs a program to
create it.
Most folks don't need the very spendy Adobe Acrobat. An excellent
substitute, PDF-XChange does a great job and can be obtained at:

If interested in seeing some Publisher 2000 files that have been converted
to pdf format you are invited to visit our lodge site at:

Turn to the Il Messaggio Archive page. Click on any underscored date.
While there, click on a song and enjoy the visit.

Files created in 2004 are PDF-XChange version 3.0. Prior years are version
2.5.

Printing a web page is not an art nor a science, it's a complete guessing
game.
Even if you make the page a fixed width at a mere 700 pixels wide it can
still vary widely by browser.
As a web designer if you think the page needs to be printed it is best to
provide a means, and as Don pointed out that is widely .pdf.
As a web visitor the best results are typically achieved by going into the
browsers print setup and setting it to landscape mode and changing all
margins to the smallest value the browser allows.

OK Don, I've decided to go the .pdf route. i can make my page a .pdf
file and up-load it fine. But how do i make the Adobe icon image
stick, it appears on my web page as [Ad Image]

I'm fairly new to all this and I'm using Front Page to design my page

The way I added the Adobe Reader icon (link) was to find it, right click on
it, go to the web page under construction, right click, paste.

One place the Adobe Reader icon link can be found at the bottom of the Il
Messaggio Archive page is:

Ciao,
