Page tabs clicking

In One Note 2007, clicking the page tab of a page already displayed produces
a bold blue square border around the whole visible portion of the page. As
you scroll, this border is stationary while the page scrolls up and down
through it. Clicking the page tab again makes the blue border disappear

What is this blue border for?

It shows that the current page is actually selected (e.g. for printing), not
just active.

Thanks David. I notice it appears as soon as I click anywhere on the page. It
disappears when I click the page tab. So it wouldn't be possible to write or
edit anything on the page without first clicking in the page somewhere. So
whenever you are editing the page that blue border will be visible. It won't
disappear unless the page tab is clicked.

Ok, my experience differs from that.
I can click a page to edit without it blue bordering the page.
What hardware? What OS? Anything special about your mouse or keyboard?

The situation is quite different in my side.
I only get the blue frame for the page when I right-click on a page tab.
And it will automatically disappear.

It never appears when using a normal left click.
When selecting a page I just get the borders of the container last
visited on the page.
