page transition not active (did not work)!

When I activate Page Transition Effect from the FORMAT menue, it does not
work (no effect) when I go to the browser page to see my site, though I have
chosen a transition effect and the amount of time required to dispaly it.

Which browser??

Transitions only work in Internet Explorer.
