Page vs Sub-Page

What's the difference between a page and a sub-page - aside from the size and
shape of the tab?? And why in 4 years of using various versions of ON
(thousands and thousands of pages) I've never found a need for a sub-page.

It helps to visually group pages. I use them for notes on classes (for the
class I "audited"). Each lecture got its own page, and I made subpages
underneath to hold cleaned up notes, homework assignments and labs.

Not everyone uses them, though. Different strokes (or visual hierarchy
methods) for different folks, I suppose.
