page with rotating image needing resave

My index page has a rotating image inside its LH editable region.
It is also attached to a DWT.
After I edit and save the DWT, the index page is then automatically updated.
The rotating image still works when previewed using FrontPage.
However after I republish from my computer to the external server, the
rotating image does not work on the www. I have to open the server site
online, just hit 'save' to the index page and the rotation then works.
Any ideas anyone?
