Pages numbers not printing correctly.

I have a problem that I do not understand. I have a short doc (18 pages)
divided into 4 sections (all section page breaks). First Section (cover
page) no number, Section 2 is the TOC with i-ii-iii numbers. Section three
is the body of the document. The page numbers are entered into the footer as
follow:
Page {PAGE} of {sectionPAGES} . The final section is and exhibit with no
page number.

On the word screen in the "Print Layout view" everything appears
fine....but, and here is the problem...when the document is sent to the
printer, it prints out as "Page 2 of 2", "Page 3 of 3", etc.

I am using Word 2002 any help is greatly appreciated - I'm stumped!

Dear Garfield -n- Odie,
Thanks, so much, for the information. I was batting my head over this
one...why, why, why would it be happening. I read the document that you
suggested and my problem was fixed immediately. I turned off the background
printing (in options) and the problem disappeared. I did the same on two
others on our network and now they don't have the problem either!
