Open those pages and select Format Shared Borders
- unselect the borders and the option for current page only

First, have you considered alternatives to shared borders, such as
Dynamic Web Template (FP2003) or include files? These are much more
flexible, and much less problematic than shared borders.

To remove shared borders from individual pages, open the page then use
Format->Shared Borders.
Select Current Page - This is IMPORTANT
Clear the check boxes for the borders you wish to remove.
Clear the box labelled "Reset borders for current page to web default"
Click OK

It looks like I removed the shared borders from all pages - is there a way to
undo this now? The format shared borders option is gray. Do I have to open
a new website and import the pages - will that solve the issue?
Thanks for your help.

When you attempt to do this, you must have a web / site open in FP, and your authoring options must
be enabled FP components.
