pagination issues

hi folks

great to see a group like this - hopefully i can challenge you all with
a question and not look too stupid ;-)

my issue relates to when i opened and attempted to edit a document that
a colleague sent me
there were some weired pagination issues, and then ever since then i
have been having problems opening up a new document so that it starts
up on page one - it always begins with page 2

is this a macrovirus thing or did something happen to my preferences -
i turned background repagination on and off to no effect

thanking you...

Open your Normal Template, go to Format>Document>Layout and set Section
Start to either Knew Page or Odd Page.

Then go to Insert>Page numbers>Format and set Page Numbering to either
Continue from Previous Section or Start at 1.

Save Normal template and quit Word.

When you restart it ought to be OK...

Cheers
