Pagination Problems in Word 2000 when Merging to new Document

When I merge a docuemnt containing a table with merge codes, as well
as a header and footer that contain codes for the page number, all I
get is page 1 on all the pages when I merge it to a new document. How
can I get it to paginate correctly?

Hi sfriedman,

If the mailmerge main document consists of only one page, but you want the
document created by the merge to have the pages consecutively numbered, use
the { SECTION } field in the main document, rather that the { PAGE }

If however, it's a multipage mailmerge main document, the { PAGE } field
should work. Have you tried updating the fields?
