is there a way in Word to make my speech in a palm card format instead of
just inserting a table and copying and pasting?

Well then...

You use File>Page Setup ("Paper" tab) in Word to enter a Custom Page size
equal to the size for your Palm Card.

Each Page in your document will be one card.
