Palm Conduit and Office 2008

When I installed office for MAC 2008, it no longer synchronized with my Palm. Calendar activities did not come across.

Anybody know how I can synchronize with my Palm?

Please search the newsgroups before posting. You'll find that this
question has been asked and answered many times and you'll have your
answer faster.

The Palm conduit is no longer supported with Entourage 2008 and Apple's
Sync Services is now Microsoft's supported method for syncing with Palm.
Use the iSync utility for setup.

With that said, Entourage 2008's syncing is currently broken and the
general consensus is to not use it until a fix is available.

Microsoft will be releasing an Office 12.0.1 update around March 11 but
we do not know if this will include the syncing fixes.

The new update does not appear to have fixed the issue of the Palm Conduit Synchronization.

Will there be a new update? Or, what do I have to do to fix it?

No I've found the same thing. The update has not resolved the bizarre
sync issues when using Entourage with Sync services. One thing I've
found that reduces dups in the Calendar is not to run sync of
Addressbook. Once this is turned on and using combine I immediately
start getting dups in modified iCal entries (items from iCal get dup'd
in Entourage but not the reverse). This is allowing me to use
Entourage. I rarely change my contacts so its not a big deal and an
overwrite of Addressbook to iCal doesn't seem to initiate the problem
(can't leave it running though as Addressbook contacts seem to
suddenly disappear). Before turning anything on, I do a backup of the
main identity and the Apple apps. If I did do an Addressbook combine,
I could simply go to Calendar in Entourage, turn it off and turn it
back on with a combine command and then everything is working fine
again (however I still notice my all day events will dup but I easily
delete them as they are not categorized so I search All day events
category none and then delete them all which is then replicated in
iCal). I've talked to Microsoft numerous times and they are still
trying to figure this out but are fully aware of what's going on.

When I said in the above post >overwrite of Addressbook to iCal< I
meant to say Entourage contacts to Addressbook.

I've also found that before I do the Calendar combine sync in
Entourage if I delete the iCal Entourage calendar, run the Entourage
sync combine the all day events aren't dup'd as it just creates a new
Entourage calendar in iCal from the combine. So there is a bit of a
way around all this.
