[PALM] Lost Zune, Corrupted Database : How to retrieve adressbook ?

A

alban -

Hi,

Hurried reader ? The question is : how to synch a new Palm with a new
identity in Entourage with an existing synching ³Entourage Storage² file ?

Got time ?

In a precedent episode (topic), the user (me) lost his database because of
the 4 gigs limit, and Entourage proved unable to restart with this identity.
Maybe a 2004, compared to a X version, will be able to, but that¹s for the
next season.

Anyway, the user had a Palm Zire synching to Entourage. He was happy,
thinking it was a solid backup for his adress book. Sadly, this Zire got
lost/stolen 2 weeks before Entourage crashed. Sad story, is it ? Tragic
enough for Hollywood.

I have this ³Entourage Storage² in my Palm identity folder. It contains a
lot of garbish characters when opened with a text/hex reader but also my
adress book. Good good good. But how can I synch it with a new Palm and new
identity ? Don¹t know. Bad bad bad.

Should the Entourage - identity have the same name as before ? Should the
Palm identity be also equal ? Same Zire ? And so on. Before buying, I¹d like
to know.

Thanks a LOT for helping me.

Greetings,
Alban

Since you are trying to retrieve data that is in the Palm format you need to
ask on a Palm support group.
