Panther, Word, epson 2200

Running Panther, trying to print a Word document on my Epson Stylus
2200. Printer just stops jobs. Try to restart job and spins for a
second and stops jobs again. Printer utility works just fine. Will
print a test page so communication is ok. Any ideas?

Is it just Word or can you print from other apps?

Sometimes a restart will clear a problem. I also suggest running Repair
Permissions.

To use Repair Permissions:



Open Disk Utility in your Applications/Utility folder.

Click on the First Aid tab and select Repair Permissions

Click on the icon for your boot volume.

Click the repair permissions button.



Don't run from CD as updates have a newer version of Repair
Permissions.

Run Repair Permissions from the volume being repaired.

One other thought is to create new user in System Preferences and switch
users. Try to print from this user. If it works then you know there is a
problem in your User's folder.
