Hi guys

First post here - hope you can help out!

A colleague of mine's paper size is bigger than A3. I can't fin
ANYWHERE to change the page size to a custom size (not in the Start
Settings, printer properties)

Any help would be appreciated cheers

HI

I've tried that but the paper size I need is not in the list. I thin
(off the top of me head) It's something like 19" x 13".

There isn't a custom option to set my own size either. :

The paper sizes you see in Page Setup depend on the chosen printer. Are you
sure that the active printer is the one on which you want to do this
printing?

I think A3 is about 42.0 x 29.7 cm, so I'm not sure that an A3 printer would
accept a width of 13 in, which is 33.02 cm (exactly) and hence wider than
A3, but your chosen printer may have sizes larger than that. ( I don't want
to boast, but we can do A0 here :) ).

Hi again

The printer is not actually mine but a colleagues at work. I was a bit
puzzled until they showed me the paper and it is a bit bigger than A3
(over an inch each way).

They use an HP Printer, and have always been able to use this size of
paper until Excel XP was installed (they had Office 2000). The
operating system remains the same so all that has been upgraded is
Office.

It used to be one of the print sizes that displayed automatically in
Page Setup but it ain't there any more....and as I say I just can't
figure this one out!

Hi,
A3 paper is 11.69 x 16.54 inches or 29.7cm x 42.00cm.
The WinNT based (As is XP) o/s' work different than the win95 systems.
It may be that the "form" is not available to your printers.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to control panel, printers.
Click anywhere in the window so that no printer is selected.
Right click and from the menu select "Server Properties".
Click on the "Forms" tab.
If you don't see A3 in the list you may have to add it as a form.
(Forms>create a new form)

Now select the printer. Right click and select "properties".
Click on the "Device Settings" tab and look for A3 as an available option
for paper size.

If it's not there and the printer can use paper that large you may need to
upgrade the print driver from the manuf.
XP may be using a generic driver.
