Paper size using Encad Novajet with roll stock

PUB2000 will not let me set really long paper lengths without activating the
tiling option. Even when I set the overlap to zero, the printer still
hiccups and leaves a small gap. I need to be able to set the paper size for
large banners, 10 to 20 feet or longer without tiling. Print driver is Encad
VER 6111.

The only article I have found that addresses large format printers is for the
DesignJet. It maybe the setup is similar to yours.

Mary - In this case I am using roll paper and have no need to print in
sections. I want it to do one continuous print. Any Ideas?

Roll paper is what the article addresses. It has a method of setting up the
printer so it will print without tiling.

hp drivers often include a zoom or scaling feature. I know exactly what the
article is trying to tell me. Unfortunately Encad does not have this
facility in the driver for this old printer. If possible, I would still like
to be able to tell PUB2000 what the true media size is and have it believe me
without doing tiling. Maybe later versions do this and I should consider
upgrading. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Mark, When I want to use a large publication, I setup a page size in Acrobat
that corresponds with the size and print a PDF. This usually works for me. I
believe later versions of Publisher would recognize large format printers. I
will look into it and let you know.
