Paper type and quality tab GONE?

S

Smokeless Joe

I can no longer find the "paper type and quality" tab when printing. I
think it might have gone away when I upgraded to Panther (currently at
10.3.2) but I'm not sure.

I have an HP DeskJet 970 Cse and using Office X.

I would REALLY like to be able to print something in Draft Quality,
but I can't find it!

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Joe,

I'm not great at printer problems but I have a couple thoughts:

1) Repair disk permissions: Go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities.
Open up Disk Utility. Select your hard disk, then click the First Aid tab.
Click the button to "Repair Disk Permissions".

2) Is the problem only in Word? If not, then it's an Apple issue and you
should contact them or try MacFixit.com

3) In Page Setup, make sure "format for" is set to your printer.

4) Make sure you have the latest driver for your printer and, if you do,
reinstall it anyway.

Hope this helps.
