para marker always goes to bottom of page not top in new docs

how do i fix: each time I open a new document in MS Office 2003, the para
marker goes to the bottom of the page instead of the top. margins and page
setup are correct.........i am in normal view.......but it prints at the
bottom of the page and works it way backward to the top as i type text.
what is up?

You probably wouldn't have this problem if your page setup is
correct. In Word, click on File | Page Setup | Layout tab |
Vertical alignment: Top | Default | Yes | OK. If you are
prompted to save changes to your Normal.dot global template when
you exit Word, say yes.

It could be your vertical alignment is set to Justify. Go to File/Page
Setup and on the Layout tab check the Vertical alignment. If it is set
to Justify, change it to top. If this happens on all new documents
then click the Default command at the bottom to change the default
once you have the vertical alignment corrected.
