Hi,
whenever I need to import a paradox database on a machine thats never
imported from paradox before - it doesn't work. It errors with "External
table is not in the expected format". I usually mess around with the
particular machine for a while and eventually get it working.
Then a few months later I find I need to import from paradox on a different
machine, and have to mess around all over again because I've forgotten the
technique to make it work.
I'm on my fourth such machine now and I cannot figure out or recall how to
make it work! Can anyone help me please?
We're running Access 2003 SP2 (but have the same error in SQL Server 2000)
on Windows XP SP2.
Paradox 4 database by the way. Both a working and a non working machine
have the files mspbde40.dll & mspdox35.dll (regsvr32'd ok). As far as I can
tell, both have the same settings in HKLM\software\microsoft\jet
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Andrew
