Paragraph formatting

In Word 2003 when I press [ENTER] the format doesn't
follow the paragraph. This is by my design which normally
would be fine with my styles.
However; there are times that I would like the format to
follow for the next paragraph by using a hotkey
combination. I can use format painter to reset the format
but it would be so much easier to just press a key
combination as I am pressing [ENTER].
I could do a macro but I was wondering if anyone new of a
key combo already in Word.
Thanks to any who answers, Jesseb.

Hi Jesseb,

That's a lot to ask from a hotkey, which in any case would
need to run a macro regardless, since you really couldn't
define a style that acts 2 different ways in 2 different
circumstances.

The purist's way would be to use two different styles for
your initial paragraph -- one set with "Style for following
paragraph" matching the current one and the other set for
the other behavior. This of course would mean you'd need
to know the desired format of the following paragraph before
you started the initial paragraph. Yuck.

I think your best escape would be to assign a hotkey to
whichever of the following-paragraph styles you would be
using less often, and press that hotkey after hitting the
Enter that ends your first paragraph, when needed.
