Paragraph Symbol

I accidentally pressed a key on my keyboard and now anytime I open a new Word
doc there is a paragraph synbol that can't be deleted. It has also messed up
all of my docs thath I had saved. I have never seen this before and can't
figure out how to fix it. Please help!! Thanks in advance.

Hi Maria,

I assume that you accidentally pressed Ctrl+Shift+8. This can happen when
you try to type an asterisk (*) by pressing Shift+8, and you accidentally
also press the Ctrl key. Just press Ctrl+Shift+8 again, and you should be
back to normal.

But you'll find it a lot easier to work with Word if you have at least
your Paragraph Marks and your Tab Symbols always displayed (turn them
on in Options > Display (2007) or Tools > Options (2003)).
