Paragraph symbol

Hi,

I am constantly getting the reverse P symbol for every paragraph start.
Even though I do not want it, it appears. I have tried to do everything, but
it's not going. What do I do? I need an urgent reply for this.

Click ¶ on the standard toolbar, or hit cmd-8, or in Word | Preferences,
View, uncheck the boxes listed under "Nonprinting characters".

By the way, telling people you have tried everything is not very useful,
because no one reading the message will know what that means, and are still
likely to tell you try things you already tested.
