Paragraph Symbols

In word, every time i hit enter a paragraph symbol comes
up, every time i hit space a dot comes up and every time
i hit tab an arrow comes up. I know these dont come up
when printing, but i want to know how to get rid of them.

Mike,

CTRL+* or toggle the Pilcrow (looks like a paragraph mark) on the formatting
toolbar, or Tools>Options>View>Non-Printing Characters and uncheck "all"
