Parameter to Web Service in Code without Storing Value in Form

Hi:

I have a form, and a secondary web service. I am passing parameters to
the service off the form just fine.

I now have an additional parameter I need to pass to the web service,
but I don't want the parameter stored with the form. I've set the
Infopath form up so that the user enters this particular parameter
into a custom task pane, so there's no need for a field for it on the
form itself. My form can grab the parameter value off the task pane
just fine, but I can't figure out how to submit the value to the web
service without storing it somewhere in the nodes of the secondary
data source. Is this possible?
