Part of Picture Missing

J

JohnR

One of my remote users created a Word XP document and inserted some
pictures. They called to complain that the picture was off to the left and
not appearing properly. I had them send me the document, and of course
everything looked great. I had them print it to a PDF and send it to me and
the right portion of the pictures are not appearing. I had them check the
crop settings, margins, etc on their version, and they are still missing the
right portion of all the pictures. Something is preventing the entire
picture from appearing. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions and what to
try?

Thank You in advance

Hi John,

It could be that the picture has been cropped and saved, but see if they get the same results using File=>Web Page preview. The
folder created with that preview will have both the original and 'browser display' versions of any graphics.

They can also start a new document and use Insert=>Picture and reinsert the original graphic to see if it's corruption in the
particular document.

May also want to check to see if the graphic front to back order has been tweaked so that anything else would partially cover the
graphic.
(I'm assuming they're working print layout view).
