I've been working with PWA and updating tasks from a database everyhour from
an automated PSI solution for a large number of projects. When viewing the
summary gantt timeline bar in PWA, I see a black progress bar within the blue
bar that tells me the % complete and when it should be forecasted to finish.
My problem is it appears that publishing through PSI gives me a partial
publish (ie, no black progress bar), while opening the project in MS project
pro, clicking publish, checking back in, will give me a full publish and the
black progress bar.
I have used ProjTools, and when you publish, it will ask if you want a full
publish or a partial publish, both of which will not give me a black progress
bar. So i'm wondering what the difference is between a publish through PSI
and a publish through MS Project Pro, is there anyway to get the progress bar
by PSI?
Any insight would be very helpful. Thanks
