Partially visible Autocad drawing

I'm using version 2002, Pro.
Someone sent me a DXF file, that, when I open/insert it,
is only partially displayed (I only see about a quarter
of the drawing).
Help documentation said to change the CAD Drawing Units,
which does nothing but resize the partial drawing.
Fooling around with cropping does nothing either.

The file opens fine in Paint Shop Pro--can see the entire
drawing.

Help?

I would be very interested in an answer to this too. I had tried the same thing yesterday in the same version, with the same result. As I am quite new to Visio I had assumed it was my fault. I am only seeing the upper middle section of the CAD drawing and I have also tried following the help and changed the drawing units, but to no avail. Is it the version of Visio i am using? there are other in the company that are using Visio 2003, would the drawing open if i sent it to them

I know this may sound crazy but if the dxf was saved
while it was zoomed in thats what visio sees.Or the other
thing could be that there are xref layers that you don't
have with the drawing.

Visio 2002 only shows the last saved view of the drawing. Other versions of
Visio show the entire drawing.
