I am trying to install old hard drives in to a new bare bone system.
When I try to install XP the screen comes up saying setup is trying to load
windows. That screen stays there for a long time. Then I get the following
message.
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file: partmgr.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA
....
Stop 0x00000050 (0xf9cbc4ab, 0x00000000, 0xf9cbc4ab, 0x00000000)
Partmgr.sys - address f9cbc4ab bas at f9cba000, datestamp 00000000"
Can anyone help me??
