Passing user name, password as clear text in lgnpsau.asp

Hi,

Right now, I have an application which logs on to MS Project Server using
the URL http://server:port/lgnpsau.asp?uid=blah&pwd=blah. But this is not a
good solution since we are passing the login credentials as clear text. I
cannot use Windows Authentication because my client might run on non-Windows
platforms. Is there an alternate way to login to MS Project Server?
Any response is appreciated.

Project Web Access only runs on Windows client machines. Is requires both
IE 5.5+ and Windows XP or Windows 2000 SP3+.

For users on a non-Microsoft platform, try implementing a Terminal Server or
Citrix environment. It works extremely well with PWA and Project Pro.
