password digital signature

Hi... Why when I use Digital Certificates in Outlook 2000 x Windows XP,
just in first login, ask me a password to send a e-mail?
And in Outlook 2000 x Windows 2000, ask me every time to send a e-mail. (I
suppose it is correct)?
In both case I not check the box "save password".
