We have a commonly used Microsoft Project file here, which had to be
write protected against unauthorized changes and othere data loss
possibilities. That's why we set a write protect password.
To prevent several know (and unknown?) conversion issues the file is
created using Project 2007 and even recently the file is rebuild using
the [ mpp-xml (save as) xml (open, create new)-mpp (save as) ] way.
But still now, every time the other user is trying to open the file
and entering the password a message box appears telling that 'The
password is incorrect. Retype the password, and try again.'
All systems are up to date (Windows XP Professional (version 5.1.2600
SP3 Build 2600), Office Project 2007 (12.0.6423.1000) SP2 MSO
(12.0.6545.5004)).
Is there any other (new) suggestion for solving this problem or is
there anyone who is able to analyse the file?
When opening the file 'Read Only' and saving it 'as', the password
seems to be disappeared (field is empty), but it is not!
Thanks a lot in advance!
