Password Issue

I changed my password at my host, but FP2003 is now not connecting - it
always did before I made the change.

I have checked the ftp://sitename.com address and everything comes up
meaning that the host is putting the info out there to be accessed and I have
the right username and password.

Does anyone have a clue why FP2003 refuses to "use"my new password?

Close FrontPage and go to My Network Places on your PC - if there is an
entry for your site there, delete it. Then open FrontPage and try again.

Thanks for the response.

I did as instructed, it was in My Network Places, I deleted and then
reopened FP, no luck.

Has FP updated itself so that it will only accept certain kinds of
passwords? My password includes an uppercase letter, a lower case letter, and
8 numerals - that should be okay, correct? (My host requires at least one
upper,one lower, and one numeral).

Your password should be fine. You said that you changed your password at
your host - how did you do that? Through a Control Panel or did you have
your host do it for you?

FTP is not the same as HTTP, FrontPage uses HTTP with an extended
website. If you or the host changed the FTP password this may not
affect the password for the FrontPage extensions.

True - on my hosting account, I have a separate username/password for
publishing via FP http from the FTP account username/password.
