Password not saving

I have the same problem in Outlook 2002 (10.4712.4219) SP-
2.

I've tried the registry 'fix'
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us%3b321652) but still am continually prompted for the
server username and password. I'm at the end of my
tether!! Help!
