Password on Tables and Queries in Access 2003

NewUserToAccess

Hi,

I am a new to Access. I am using Access 2003. I was wondering if there is
a way to put a password on specific tables and queries. I know there is a
password security in Access, but I believe its for the entire database. Just
curious if we can have one password setup for certain tables and queries.
Thanks in advance.

It's an all-or-nothing proposition.

You could apply user-level security, and set permissions differently for
some of the tables than for others, but that would require that each user
log into the application up front, as opposed to being prompted when they
want to use the specific table(s).

If you're interesting in pursuing the user-level security option, check out

It's not a simple undertaking. Make sure you read the FAQ thoroughly several
times, work on a copy of your database (just in case!), and make sure you
don't leave out any steps.
