password popup with outlook xp and msn messenger

Outlook xp and msn messenger 7.5. If msn messenger is open and we try to
open outlook xp, a prompt for username, password and domain appears. It will
not accept the information entered and outlook never opens. If we close msn
messenger, outlook work fine. This has been happening for approx 72 hours on
40 laptops.

We are running Windows XP on an Windows domain with active directory.
