Is it possible to password-protect a folder on a network?
If so how. Thanks.

Depending on your version of Office, you may be able to password protect a
file with respect to open or modify. In Office 2003, open the application
with the file you want to protect. In Help, search for password protect for
directions.

The password protection does have limitations.

For folder protection, you need to check your OS.

CA,

You may want to use encryption.
by encrypting you folder all the containing documents will be
protected and only accessible to you and you alone (that is: from
your pc only). Make sure you backup your encryption keys. Without
them they are not accessible and if you them you are unlikely to
recover you documents (unless you find a geek with some
impressive computing power)...
