is there a way in ms word to password protect the document from being
viewed? what i mean is that when a person tries to open a word doc for
viewing, before they can see anything, they must first enter a password and
then they can view the document. i know there is passwords now for editting
a document, but i want to know if there's one for viewing a document

thanx,
Joe
:)

Go to File, Save As, click on the Toools button and select
General Options. Enter a password in the Password to Open
field.

Click OK. You will be asked to confirm the password. Save
as Normal.

Hope this helps.
