Password protected template?

I would suggest posting a response to Microsoft about it. It's a template
submitted by a non-Microsoft person so it probably won't do any good. But
it's worth trying?

This template works for me without a password. Do you have Office 2007? It is a
..xlsx template.

No, I cannot edit it. There probably is a password attached somewhere within the
file, I wouldn't know where to look. Not too Excel savvy.

That's what I ran into as well and I suspect the OP has that same issue. I
know how to password protect the entire document but this is protected
deeper than that. If you go to the Review tab and select Unprotect
Worksheet, it prompts you for the password. I don't use that because I can
never seems to find the right characteristics to protect.

I downloaded this template but it is password protected. Its from the
community section but I thought these were still free to modify
yourself if
you want. Any idea how I can unprotect the file to customize it?

James - on the About tab is the author's email address. Contact him directly
and see if he responds. (If he doesn't, the template really isn't worth
squat.)
